We do not charge investors
Abhilasha Wealth does not levy any fee, charge or consideration on investors for distribution or servicing of the products listed on this website.
Our remuneration comes from the product manufacturer — the Asset Management Company, insurance company, pension fund, bank or NBFC — in accordance with the arrangement between that entity and us, and within the limits prescribed by the relevant regulator.
Mutual funds
For mutual fund schemes, transactions routed through a distributor are executed in the regular plan. The AMC pays the distributor a trail commission out of the scheme's total expense ratio. This is not an additional charge deducted from your investment amount; it forms part of the scheme's ongoing expenses, which are disclosed by the AMC.
Commission rates differ between AMCs and between scheme categories. Equity-oriented schemes generally carry a higher trail than liquid or debt schemes. As required by AMFI, the commission received by us is also disclosed to you in the half-yearly Consolidated Account Statement issued by the registrars (CAMS / KFintech).
Conflict of interest: because commission rates differ, a distributor could in principle be influenced to recommend a higher-paying scheme. We disclose this openly. Scheme selection is always your decision, made from the scheme documents, and you are free to ask us what commission any scheme pays before you invest.
Insurance
Insurance products are solicited as an associate or point-of-sale entity of IRDAI-registered insurers. Commission is paid by the insurer as a percentage of premium, within the limits set out in the IRDAI (Payment of Commission) Regulations in force. Rates vary by product type, premium paying term and policy year.
Loans, NPS and other products
- Loans: banks and NBFCs pay a referral or sourcing commission on disbursed files, as per their own schedule. Nothing is collected from the borrower by us.
- NPS: remuneration is as prescribed by PFRDA for the point of presence or distributor concerned.
- Digital gold and silver: the issuer pays a distribution margin; the price you see already includes the issuer's spread and applicable GST.
- Equity, demat and IPO: the registered intermediary pays a referral fee as per its partner arrangement.
Your rights
- You may ask us, at any time and before transacting, what commission we earn on a specific product.
- You may verify mutual fund commission figures in your half-yearly Consolidated Account Statement.
- You may choose to transact directly with any manufacturer instead of through us.
- You may change your distributor by submitting a change-of-broker request to the AMC.
Code of conduct
We are bound by the AMFI Code of Conduct for Mutual Fund Intermediaries and by the applicable codes of the insurers and lenders we are associated with. This includes obligations of suitability, disclosure, confidentiality and the prohibition on rebating any part of our commission to investors.
Sample figures are deliberately not published here because commission rates change from time to time and differ across products. Ask us for the current rate on any specific product before you transact.
Still not clear about something?
Ask us. We would rather spend twenty minutes explaining a clause than have you discover it at claim time.
