AML & KYC Policy

Our obligations under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, and what that means for the documents we ask you for.

Last updated: 15 August 2026

Why KYC is mandatory

Under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002 and the rules and circulars issued by SEBI, IRDAI, PFRDA and RBI, no financial product can be issued without the applicant being KYC-compliant. As a distributor we assist in collecting and forwarding these documents; verification and acceptance rest with the product provider or KRA.

Documents commonly required

  • PAN card (mandatory for most financial transactions).
  • Proof of identity and proof of address as accepted by the relevant KRA or insurer.
  • Recent photograph and signature.
  • Bank account proof — cancelled cheque or recent statement.
  • FATCA, CRS and politically-exposed-person declarations.
  • For non-individuals — constitution documents, authorised signatory list and beneficial ownership declarations.
  • For NRIs — passport, visa or residence proof, overseas address and NRE / NRO account details.

Our commitments

  • We accept no cash from investors under any circumstances.
  • We verify the identity of every applicant against original documents or their digitally verified equivalents.
  • We record and preserve transaction and identification records for the period prescribed by law.
  • We do not open or operate any account or folio on behalf of an investor without written authority.
  • We report suspicious transactions to the concerned product provider for onward reporting as required under law.

Third-party payments

Payments must originate from the investor's own bank account. Third-party payments are permitted only in the narrow circumstances allowed by the product provider — such as a parent investing for a minor — and require additional declarations.

Periodic updation

Regulators require KYC records to be refreshed periodically, and more frequently for higher-risk categories. We will contact you when a re-KYC is due, so that your transactions are not held up.
